So, probably my last diary here

If it gets removed, down voted, or whatever else, I don’t know, but as the title says, probably my last diary here.

What has pushed me to this conclusion?  Some of it is some of the Sanders supporters, some of it is a thing I saw on something called Third Way, and some of it is the feeling you get that maybe this group has become too radical from what it used to be.

I remember the beginnings of Daily Kos.  It started around the same time as Moveon.org, and probably had the same crowd that participated with both in common.

There was an article taking offense to calling the Sanders campaign a “poor man’s Obama” by some Hillary spokesperson.  People took serious offense to this but I have to agree with the spokesperson.

“Bernie is organic” “Bernie raises money from small contributions” “Bernie has revolutionized campaigning”.  Now of course, I don’t just hear this from Daily Kos Bernie supporters, but also it is on Morning Joe and some other shows.  (Isn’t it funny, that the two main characters on Morning Joe are Bernie fans and Trump fans.  What does that tell you when they find Bernie/Trump almost the same?)

When I hear this talk and talk of dissing Obama, I am turned off.  Yes, Bernie did dis Obama when he said he would have better race relations then Obama because blacks would have jobs instead of standing around on street corners and that he would use the bully pulpit better by getting those in the country to pressure congress for living minimum wage among other things.

Obama in 2008 was the one who raised money online and yeah, Bernie is doing almost as good as Obama did, as one commentator on Morning Joe finally said (not one of the 2 main characters) Obama’s 1 day record was 10 million, something Bernie has yet to do.  Obama had on his website a phone bank system, where you could log in and it would generate phone numbers for you to call.

Of course, Obama was not the first.  I suppose Ron Paul was the father to Obama and somebody was probably the father to Ron Paul, but Bernie still has not passed Obama, contrary to what Bernie’s supporters believe.

The second thing is a diary saying Clyburn will endorse Hillary, which is not the problem, but the comments that follow are a problem.  Some call him a sell out, others say he is just doing what he is expected to do.  On top of dissing John Lewis, they dis Clyburn and I can’t imagine if MLK was alive, they would dis him also.

And then there is something that I ran across today called the Third Way and some type of campaign against it or something like that.  It turns me off, and I think if we shrink or insist on being like Republicans and purge our party, what will we become but just a radical party like they are becoming, and that is what many on this site are calling for, a purge of moderate and right leaning people, when we should be accepting of those purged from the Republican party.

I may believe in ideals that are to the left of the country, but I will not force my ideals on others unwillingly.  That is what republicans like to do.  I will state my case, reason my points as best as I can, answer the questions that still exist and hope to sway the thinking of others.

I won’t say “I am totally right and you are totally wrong and you don’t even belong to the human race/country/party, you are not human/a U.S. citizen/democrat”.  It is not for me to say what you are, it is for you to say.  I will listen to you and I might think you have some erroneous facts or opinions but it is not my job to just state how you are in error, but to show you sources of facts.

That said, I hope you have a nice day, and whether you support Bernie or Hillary or you are here supporting Donald, Ted, Marco, or Jeb and just trying to cause trouble, I wish you and the candidate you support well.
